first steps

So, this is the first entry in our blog.

We brood over the question whether to write a blog during our time in Oxford or not quite a while. Whilst there are some reasons not to spend time on such a web 2.0 thing (waste of time, waste of energy, rest of the world’s disinterest, exhibitionistic behaviour) there are a good deal more reasons to attend the new internet generation (further improvement of written English, good way to keep family and friends informed of what’s going on, good way to inform following students/ couples in the same situation).

So we finally decided to give it a try and start…

With that basic decision another issue arouse: Which language should the blog be written in? Whilst we don’t worry regarding the English abilities of our friends, the level of understanding within the family seems somewhat a challenge. For that reason we decided to try a happy medium by tempting to provide a good number of pictures for all who might follow this blog and possibly have problems with the language and to write in English for all the rest.
